Chocolate Dipped Almond Butter Snicker Stuffed Dates

Ingredients

  • 24 dates
  • 1/2 cup almond butter
  • 5 ounces dark chocolate or dark chocolate chips melted (about 1 cup) I like the Lindt dark chocolate rectangular bars
  • Coarse sea salt to taste if desired

Directions

  1. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper for your dates once they are stuffed and dipped.
  2. If you are working with dates that aren’t pitted, remove the pit from each date by making a slice along the date lengthwise and remove pit If you are using pre-pitted dates, make a cut lengthwise along the date for stuffing.
  3. Use about 2 teaspoons of almond butter per date and spoon inside of the date, then place on the lined cookie sheet. Repeat for each date.
  4. Melt your chocolate in the microwave (start with 30 seconds, stir, then heat in 15 second intervals and stir until fully melted) or using a double broiler over the stove.
  5. Dip your stuffed dates into the melted chocolate, then place back on the lined cookie sheet and sprinkle with sea salt if desired. Repeat for each date.
  6. Place the cookie sheet in the fridge for 1 -2 hours or until the chocolate is set.
  7. Serve and enjoy! Or transfer to a container and store in the fridge or freeze.
