Peachy Ideas and Healthy Ways to Enjoy!
Fragrant, juicy, and bursting with flavor, peaches are such delicious summertime fruits. Here are a few ways I have been enjoying and adding peaches into our diets, including:
- An arugula, peach and walnut salad with a balsamic vinaigrette,
- Overnight oats with sliced peaches and cinnamon; or,
- My new quick brunch idea of sliced peach and ricotta toast with some sprinkled walnuts and a drizzle of honey
The peach is a type of stone fruit that comes into season in the summertime, typically from May through September, with peak harvest in July and August.
Find local and organic peaches at a farmers market or grocery store near you. When choosing peaches at the market, look for colour. Give it a gentle squeeze and if not too soft, it is generally good to go 🙂
